Have any cool plans for the upcoming July 4 holiday? How about any fun vacation plans (within NC) coming up?
First time in Boone! Going see the fireworks of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Oh, that sounds really cool! Do you know if you are able to go up on a mountain trail somewhere and watch them? If so, that sounds amazing.

A hike would be nice but don’t know any for that. My plan is going to the Thunder Hill Overlook, right off the parkway. Elevation is 3795’. It’s fairly close near where they shoot the fireworks. Lots of great pics on google maps if you want to check it out. Been too Lake Lure a bunch but can’t believe it took this long to visit Boone.
I didn’t get stuff in time for the actual fourth but I’m kinda thinking it’d be fun to make smash burgers and meet up with some friends at a field or a park. Maybe bring milkshakes, and sparklers :)
Just a couple planned beach trips, should be great!
