I don’t want to see society 2. There will be a nasty reboot. It will be painful, might not even come back up.

We’re already at society 84,659. It’s not very different than society 84,614 though.

This is Society 2. Society 1 was the Feudalism release, Society 2 is the Capitalist Democracy release, Society 3 looks like it might be Socialist Democracy as that’s the way the game’s content has been moving but there’s lots of players that preferred the Feudalism release and want more of that.

This only makes sense if we’re talking about movies. If we’re talking about software (as the Lemmy title suggests) the question in itself doesn’t make sense because only something that needs improvement needs an update

Considering AI development, please stay tuned. So, I doubt that we will see “planet of apes” as “society 2”. Sorry, monkey. However, there is still “society 3” possible, depending on our AI overlords. So, as I said, stay tuned.
