I’ve tried to reply to some comments when this pops up on the screen. Didn’t keep a tab on the first few instances but lately it has been on a comment posted from lemmy.ml. Is it because the said instances have been de-federated?
If this is liftoff, this error is based on how the app handles the “All” timeline. If not otherwise set, Liftoff checks the instance you’re logged in to and the preset one. So you can’t interact with posts received from the latter.
You either remove the other instance in the settings or atleast change your standard timeline to all/local/subscribed@<your instance>.Thanks!! Yes, it was a liftoff thing. It works now.
I believe it just means you need to retrieve the post via your logged-in instance. Basically make sure the URL begins with your instance. This is one of my frustrations. You click on a lemmy link but can’t interact with the post unless you are logged in. So you have to go to your own instance and manually search for the post?
Which app is this? If it’s Liftoff, try updating to the newest version.
