      I had a teacher in high school that had us read an unlabeled and genericized (no direct references to the king) Declaration of Independence as an assignment. She told us that she once had an irate parent call the school to complain to the administration that she was having her students read “communist propaganda”.

      I think about that a lot when I imagine the average voter.

      Lower ratings make debt more expensive. More expensive debt drives up the cost of the US borrowing and doing things.

      So, I guess anyone who wants the government to spend money on things?
