She should be asking if this was his plan all along when he propped up Hammas over a civilian government…
The plan proceeds apace: Benjamin Netanyahu rules out return of Palestinian Authority in Gaza
Propped up hamas? The palestinian muslim brotherhood branch that arose after the first intifada? You’re saying Natenyahu propped them up? Please tell how Natenyahu propped up Al Fatah while you are at it too.
Yes. Netanyahu and the Israeli far right worked to legitimize Hamas and to ignore the Palestinian Authority, Fatah, etc in order to cause a split in Palestinian politics and to sabotage the two state solution for peace.
I dont even know where to begin on this. I have a feeling that you are scrambling the Yom Kippur war, Camp David Accords of 78’ and the 2 state solution plans that were rejected by the arab community. All of that has nothing to do with Natenyahu or right wing politics.
No, I’m just taking Bibi at his word..
The prime minister also said that, “whoever is against a Palestinian state should be for” transferring the funds to Gaza, because maintaining a separation between the PA in the West Bank and Hamas in Gaza helps prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.
To be clear, he’s talking about the Qatari funds that they now complain are funding Hamas.
Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman, who resigned as head of the Defense Ministry over Gaza policies, said on Saturday that the payments are a “miserable decision,” marking “the first time Israel is funding terrorism against itself."
he kinda admitted to it
Props to Wolf Blitzer and Dana Bash; both are Jewish CNN anchors who are not afraid to call Israel out on their bullshit.
Perhaps they can look more than 24 hours in the future and can see that the project to equate “judaism” and “Netanyahu” will be very very bad news for Jewish people for decades to come.
He’s basically the Jewish version of Trump.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
CNN anchor Dana Bash pressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to respond to Israeli concerns on whether he would accept some responsibility for failing to anticipate the Oct. 7 massacre in an interview on Sunday.
In response, Netanyahu repeatedly dodged the issue, saying on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he would discuss those concerns after the war is over.
“Prime Minister Netanyahu, before I let you go, I know you’ve been asked this several times.
But I have had multiple people inside Israel reach out to me knowing that I was going to interview you and say the one thing they want to hear from you is that you take personal responsibility for failing to prevent the October 7 attacks and protecting your people.
Bash then asked directly what his answer is to Israelis who are disappointed that he still won’t take responsibility.
Hamas, a US-designated terrorist organization that rules Gaza, launched a surprise attack on Israel’s southern border, brutally killing 1,400 Israelis and taking about 240 hostages.
The original article contains 400 words, the summary contains 169 words. Saved 58%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!
He should ask that question of Hamas leaders, too. “Do you accept responsibility for failing to anticipate Israel’s response to your terrorism?”. Bring a Ouija board, though.
Hamas leaders have repeatedly said they did anticipate Israel’s over-response, and that that was actually the entire point.
Israel has been really shitty to Palestinians for a long time, and they’re being even shittier now, but Hamas doesn’t have the excuse of defending its nation from attacks, because Hamas (a) is not a nation and (b) doesn’t give a flying fuck about Palestinians. Israel deserves censure and condemnation for its war crimes. Hamas deserves to be annihilated.

You’re right about Hamas deserving annihilation. I can’t help but wonder if there isn’t some hope that the Palestinians themselves would turn against Hamas and assist in their demise. Is that not a thing?
Edit: I understand this idea might not be a good one, hence the downvotes, but that doesn’t explain why not. The “good” Palestinians must outnumber Hamas, right? Seems they could eject the assholes, make peace with Israel, and end this. If they don’t want to, then how are peace-loving Palestinians different from Hamas? Explain, don’t just downvote.
I think the Palestinians in Gaza are too poor and unequipped/unskilled to mount a meaningful resistance against Hamas. To the extent that some of them willingly support and/or provide quarter to Hamas, I suppose they could stop doing that, but…what would their motivation be? Israel is abusing and killing them, while Hamas just uses them as camouflage. I would be willing to bet most Palestinians have more motivation to fight Israel and support Hamas than the reverse, but mainly I suspect they just want to survive and live on their land.
Don’t forget years of indoctrinating kids into hating Jews and blaming them for all their problems, as well as publicly celebrating any time a successful attack against Israel was made, connecting the Jew killings with good things in the psyche…
I guess the only ones the Palestinians in Gaza and West bank could look up to, are Israeli Palestinians, who are currently represent 21% of Israel population, enjoy the same civil rights as Jewish or Druze or Bedouin citizens, work in prestigious institutions like health and judicial system, vote and elect their representatives etc. They could show Gazans and West bank that it’s much better in the long run to work together with Israel, and when the region normalizes - it would be such a boon to local economies.
While I agree it would be better for the Palestinians to work with Israel than against it, that’s a hard sell when Israeli settlers and the IDF are actively being uber-dicks to them. That shit has to stop before the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza will even consider the idea of pursuing peaceful cooperation, and perhaps not even then. People forget that the Palestinians there hated Jews long before Israel occupied their lands. That whole region is just filled with centuries-long hate.
At least those in Gaza had those “uber-dicks” removed from their faces in 2005, there are news videos that it was very forced, they were given a real chance there, but I know people will start with “open prison” again - while the blockade was clearly the results of terror attacks originating from inside Gaza strip. Mind you, if Hamas and other paramilitary orgs wouldn’t do this shit, they’d loose millions of their yearly budgets from Iran and the likes - and nobody (in positions of power) would have that…
Hamas hoped that Hezbollah would attack and ignite a middle eastern war. But then two US carrier strike groups appeared to make sure that didn’t happen. Hamas didn’t count on the US showing up and have said so.
Hamas didn’t count on the US showing up and have said so.
Hard to believe that was a surprise. At best our government will give out a lengthy sigh like a disappointed parent before we inevitably come to bail out Israel for the 90th time.
