In this case, we know why they became a bottom team at the start of the season, and it’s the reason they managed to become the second fastest team. Having the exact same thing happen next year is not likely unless they found another reason to scrap their design development.
Watching McLaren’s turnaround has been incredibly fun. Hopefully they can carry it into the next year.
