Thought I’d share the Narset deck I put together for Standard Brawl. I think Narset is one of the best Brawl commanders, and extremely good in Historic Brawl too. The win rate of the deck has been great, I’ve really only lost if they manage to dedicate enough removal to keep Narset off the field consistently.
Anyone else trying her, maybe in HBrawl? I bet there are some cards she’d work great with that aren’t in Standard.
Love this, this perfectly matches my play style. Have you seen a variety of opposing decks with this or is it in the “hell queue” (does Standard Brawl have such a thing)? If so I might craft some cards to get this possibly to Historic.
I played the planeswalker Narset in Historic Brawl for a while as I love URW spells, but I was consistently matched against the top 5 commanders and it got too frustrating.
I actually have no idea if Standard Brawl has a hell queue, but my guess is that it’s just too small for that to really work. I played against [[Toluz, Clever Conductor]] yesterday with it, who I really doubt would be in Hell Queue. I mean I also play against Etali, Atraxa, Elesh Norn, so I think they’re all just lumped together. Even if I am in the Hell Queue for SBrawl I’d probably deserve it lol, the deck still works fantastically.
I play a lot of decks where the commander isn’t all that strong and I basically just try to survive until I can pull a bomb and turn the game around, which is fun in its own way, but Narset is the total opposite: I feel like I’m in control all the time and the opponent has to answer quickly or die.
