The Peavey Wolfgang was signed and played by Van Halen during his 1996 visit to Becker’s house, and is being sold to raise funds for Becker’s ongoing medical care

      That would be nice. It would be nicer if people didn’t have to sell their belongings to pay for healthcare in the US. Hopefully we can get there someday.

    There are currently 40 developed countries on earth. Of them, 39 have some form of universal healthcare. The U.S. is the only developed country without a universal healthcare system.

    There is a very clear reason for this. Conservatives in the U.S. have fought tirelessly to prevent changes to our for-profit healthcare industry.

    When you, or someone you love, is sick and struggling to afford healthcare, thank a conservative. Conservatives did this and will continue to do this unless the nomal people are able to stop them.

      What frustrates me is everyone knows our system is utterly broken but whenever we get closer to doing anything about healthcare the Republican noise machine shifts into high gear and people follow along like lemmings. I can’t even tell you how many times I tried to explain to people that there was no such thing as a death panel when the Obamacare legislation was going through congress.
