I get to hear them everyday in Southern, Ca! We also have cooper’s hawks.

I see (or just hear) coopers, red tail, and red shouldered all the time. I love it. The coopers hawks love to sit on telephone poles and chat with each other

We’ve been having a Cooper’s Hawk visit our yard lately, my wife and I have been loving it.

I’m always on the look out for Kestrel’s too.

I never made that correlation, they sound really cool. Bald eagles, on the other hand, sound very underwhelming.

I enjoy seeing these hawks in the trees. Nice sighting.

I still haven’t been to Stoney. I grew up downriver so I spent more time at Erie and Willow.

I don’t mind paying. Macomb county is ugly so it’s nice to have a little slice of nature and I’ll support that. It does wonders for my sanity.

The Ford House is a really nice spot for birding too.

Every time I have to renew my annual metropark pass I can’t help but grumble about already having and annually renewing the state park rec pass on my license plate / registration and needing a stupid barcode sticker like I’m subscribing to that garbage Jax monthy unlimited car washes (curb rash from their garbage car pusher rails included) and paying more than the state park pass. Yes yes I know the difference I get the history behind it but being attacked by a black fly swarm at stoney creek recentlyish didn’t help my bias lol
