Working within the system doesn’t work. Billionaires own the world’s governments, and won’t allow any action that might slow the climate catastrophe. illegal stunts like this won’t work, either, but it’s more fun than writing another damned letter to my damned Congressman.
Perhaps you can try mixing it up and combining things? Use hammers and chisels to shatter your Congressman?
Actually, I forgot that I recently moved and lucked into one of the dozen or so Congresscritters who aren’t utter embarrassments.
