It’s almost like governments and people prefer a leader that doesn’t treat international relations like they just finished the first chapter in Power Plays - How to be the shittiest person in the boardroom (and suck up to those shittier than you)
Amazing what not having a drooling imbecile at the helm does for a country’s reputation.
that’s because for better or worse, the president is the face of the country and Trump is a very ugly person physically, mentally, and spiritually so it’s natural the opinion would wane while he was president.
He could be the sexiest person out there and my opinion of him would not change. Conversely, I would prefer the Hunchback of Notre Dame if they were an actual capable leader.
Trump’s damning ugliness is his personality.
Physical appearance should not factor in our evaluation of a leader’s capabilities.
During the whole ‘Russian-Prigozhin-Putin’ fiasco I realized ‘It’s nice that the U.S. is no longer being seen as the chaos idiot of the world.’ Every day with Trump the world woke up waiting to see what lunacy that moron was going to come up with, and whether it would kill us all.
Surprising absolutely no one.
Isn’t that the whole point? The slogan isn’t “World Opinion First”, after all. They view all politics as a zero-sum game with winners and losers.
If a Trump administration makes choices that make the US unpopular among the rest of the world, they think that means they’re doing something right.
Yep, merely obnoxious rather than insane. ( I joke, all friends here!)
Inside America. Not so much.
Unpopular I would say . From outside we see US a twisted shadow of what it was long time ago.
That’s how we see it from inside the US too. But the point is we’re less bad when our chief executive isn’t a treasonous cheeto.
