Benjamin Mallery admitted to possessing a series of illicit images stored in a Google Drive that was linked to two email addresses, including his state government address.

A Sheffield man admitted Monday to possessing child sexual abuse material in 2021 while he was employed as a state corrections supervisor.

Benjamin Mallery, 32, pleaded guilty to the felony charge in Caledonia County Superior criminal court under a plea deal with the Vermont Attorney General’s Office. At his forthcoming sentencing hearing, both sides agreed to recommend a jail sentence of 18 months to five years — all suspended except for 60 days — with 10 years of probation.
