      Is the debt ceiling useful? Seems to only limit your options without any upside.

          Makes you wonder how there was a super majority in parliament that i assume prevented Germany from taking advantage of the free money with those 1% interest and lower…

          I bet the people who voted for that wish they didn’t in hindsight.

          I understand that too much debt is bad, but you have to spend money to make money. Many of the biggest cash-cows have been government funded research at some point (computers, chips, laser, atomic energy, internet)

          I wish there was a more science based approach to policy instead of just going with unchecked/unreflected biases (i.g. “debt is bad”)

              Germany is the major source of EU funding. Saying that others pay for their investments is blatantly false.
