I liked it, but I never really felt comfortable contributing to one of the monolithic websites dominating the Internet. I remember when Internet discussions mostly happened on small independent forums, and through the Fediverse I think we can revive that spirit.

Lemmy’s still got some bugs and not all the communities I participated in on Reddit are active here yet, but I think ultimately this was for the best.
