I’ve driven my jeep there too. This wasn’t really “driving into the ocean” by any stretch of the imagination. They drove it down the beach, splashing up some water, but this is common there as it’s one of only a couple of beaches that allows vehicle traffic at all.
Yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing some tests in deeper water.

On one hand, Elon insinuates alot sorrounding water and the vehicles, and then on the other hand they turn out water damaged.
Sure, even boats get water damaged and they are designed to be in water but still.
