Before subnose revolvers became popular this ‘tactical’ set of modifications known as the Fitz Special existed. That said please do not cut off half your trigger guard. It’s there for a reason.
It was made to be quickly pulled out of a coat pocket without snagging. The trigger guard was cut to allow you to place your finger there faster or easier with gloves.
It’s estimated 40-200 of these custom order guns were made, but they’ve made an impact on pop culture appearing on the cover of From Russia, with Love and in Blue Bloods. And much more replicas were crafted.
