New reports from The Mirror suggest that the BBC are working on another Doctor Who spin-off series. Reportedly titled 'The War Between The Land And The Sea', the series will focus on The Sea Devils, a villain first seen opposite Jon Pertwee's Third Doctor before returning opposite Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor in 2022.     I went back and read the Wikipedia article for Legend of the Sea Devils and barely remember any of it. What a forgettable episode.

    I haven’t gotten to the Third Doctor yet on my Old Who watch.

    Actually, it just occurred to me that they had probably already greenlit the show and Chibnall’s special was meant to be a setup for it.

      Yeah, I honestly forgot that the Sea Devil’s appeared in Chibnall era.

      In contrast, the scenery chewing arguments between Pertwee and Delgado make the 3rd Doctor episodes quite memorable, to me.

      Also they nailed the “creature from the black lagoon” feel in the 3rd Doctor episodes.
