Lundy Island wild bird numbers soar

        Loads. Not just seabirds, but lots of heath and farmland birds too.

        Puffins were almost impossible to see, though. We went in Easter when they are there nesting. Their burrows are on a cliff edge and you could only really see them from a neighbouring cliff/headland. Both binoculars you could just about make them out from their distinctive orange feet

          Sounds like a fun vacation! One of these days I’ll get to see a puffin.
