RARITAN, N.J. — A woman who worked as a teacher and lacrosse coach at Bridgewater-Raritan High School in New Jersey was charged with sexual assault of a student due to an ongoing physical relationship that lasted several years, authorities announced.

Lydia Pinto, 38, of Newton, Pennsylvania was identified as the criminal defendant. She is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a former student, the Bridgewater Patch reported.
