As I was reading this, it strongly reminded me of the movie natural born killers, then there it was in popular culture. I wish there was more background, something to help explain why she would go with him, especially after the way he killed her baby sister.
Last podcast on the left did a pretty good series on Starkweather and they talk a lot about her involvement.
It’s not for everyone though, comedy and murder don’t go together for everyone.
