That’s all nice but their lowest paid plan also just tripled in price (while getting more features).
I appreciacte that I and my users can stay in the old plan. My users are actually my extented family. They would not understand why they have to pay 36 Eur for something they got so far for free or modest 12 Eur per year.
I was just about to create an account for m family, but I cannot see the pricing for additional users.
Huh, apparently my account was deleted, as I hadn’t logged in for 6+ months. What’s odd is that my Tutanota e-mail address still exists, but can “be taken over by someone with a paid account”.

Yep, same. Wish it was possible to recover the data that was on there, but it’s my fault for not reading about their policy on inactivity.
I grumbled a bit but upgraded to the 3€ one in the end. I can afford spending a little bit extra, and they definitely deserve it.
I tried to make a free account before using a vpn, and it worked for a little bit, but was quickly permanently locked with no warning.
Otherwise, I really do like it. I wonder if it would still get locked if I paid with monero.
Are there any privacy friendly payment options coming? (e.g. Bitcoin, Monero)
You can pay with BTC or XMR or even cash at https://digitalgoods.proxysto.re/en for Tutanota vouchers. It’s a legit shop, I’ve used them before.
EDIT: Check https://tutanota.com/faq#cryptocurrency (they plan to add BTC in the future, but they also list Proxystore since they are partners)
Nice! I haven’t tried out tutanota because it certainly was a pain when I was the email on all of the accounts to protonmail… I think I will be fine with proton though
