Hello guys! It seems to be picking up faster than other communities here and we’ll need some ground rules. I’ve included the basics in the side bar but there are two points on which I want your input (I’m not spez lol)
- The no self-promotion rule On one hand, at this start, everything is nice. On the other hand a purely amateur subs is nice as well. What do you think? Should it be included or not?
Reminder of the rule such as on reddit’s
No self-promotion or attempts to make a profit anywhere
If you sell panties, fetish items, cam shows, suggest payment (Onlyfans, PayPal, Cash App, etc.), request gifts/have a wishlist or anything similar ANYWHERE on the net please refrain from posting here. We wish to remain separated from all money-making endeavors, so that Gonewild remains a purely exhibitionists’ subreddit where people post for absolutely no other reason than the thrill of it.
2.Tag your post titles with the correct gender tag - [f], [m], [cd], [t], [?], [nb]
Yes or No?
In any case, this will be a living document and is bound to evolve depending on the situation!
I think the no promotion rule is good, though I’d argue that we should just keep it as “no promotion of off site content in this community.” Effectively enforcing the no promotion anywhere rule would require relatively invasive moderation, and could lead to inconsistent enforcement and arbitrary hair splitting.
Controlling what people can do here is fine, but trying to dictate what they do elsewhere seems unnecessary.
I don’t see the issue provided there is no attempts at self promotion in titles, in the image or in the comments, I am a creator myself however I do it for the thrill and the profit but only link to my OF on my profile incase anyone wants to know I have one, but I don’t try force or persuade anyone to signup to it it’s just there, you know kind of like how many photographers do photography for a hobby and some also do it for a profit, however if creators aren’t welcome here now or in the future there are plenty other communities and this community will do fine without creators, I just think the better way to go about it would be making the rules that there is no self promotion in titles, images or comments, up to you but just wanted to share my thoughts.
I think the consensus here is that it’s not a problem at all to have a link to OF. Original GW rules are in theory that no promotion is allowed, so before taking all the rule from them, I just wanted to get an input from the community !
It’s not a problem if you want to run an average porn sub. If you want to try to capture the magic of what made gonewild special (as its new namesake) then it’s critical that promotion be banned.
I agree it’s part of the show but even on the original one, having a link in their own profile was allowed as well if I remember right? Just no promotion in the post itself? Or am I mistaken?
It’s anywhere at all as they are looking only for amateurs to contribute. Here is the rule from their sidebar:
Rule 3: No self-promotion or attempts to make a profit anywhere. If you use nudity anywhere on the net to get gifts or money (panty selling, fetish items, cam shows, onlyfans, or anything similar) please refrain from posting here. We wish to remain separated from all money-making endeavors, so that Gonewild remains a purely exhibitionists subreddit where people post for absolutely no other reason than the thrill of it.
Can you tell me your opinion on the rule as formulated at the moment?
I think you should remove the mentioning of reddit in (atleast) rule 5 and 6 :P
Haha that 's more than reasonable

It’s what /r/gonewild used to be until it and basically all NSFW subs got taken over by OF promos.
I think there is a consensus on no promotion! I can’t edit the description from the app apparently? But I’ll do it from a computer when I’m back home!
Tags can be at least a suggestion, and we’ll see if it Works!
No promotion is the whole point of gonewild and what separates it from all the other porn subs on Reddit. In my opinion if we drop that rule then this sub shouldn’t carry that same name.
There are loads of porn subs on Reddit but only one gonewild. Average peoplepost there for the thrill and that’s what makes it special.

I’m not a huge gonewild fella but, in the interest of expanding the community, I personally think one link in the comments or something seems a fair balance of rewarding content creators (of which there are a limited number) and the fans.
Just my two cents.
If their links are in their profile that’s one thing. I’m definitely against the spamming of posts and all that annoying stuff. So I think there’s a balance to be found rather than a strict allowed or banned.
For the gender tags, I feel like it could benefit browsing. I look for different things pretty often and a [M] or [FFM] makes it simple to know who’s involved while keeping a good pace.
Things are looking great so far, great job!
That some will use the same username which can then be found on OnlyFans is fine. What is not fine is the way it works on FetLife. Women make a low quality post how incredibly horny they are, it gets upvoted and the whole ploy is to redirect you to their business. Primarily rules need to be focused to disable that.
That sounds reasonable! I’ll add that to the rules!
Could we possibly have separate communities for men and women? With blurred thumbs disabled, I don’t really want to see other dicks while I’m dealing with mine.
Agreed. One dick is hard to manage. Thing has a mind of its own.
Valid, but I think it’d be better to just require tags
How is that better? I can block by community, but not by tag.

I dont think we should segregate. I think gonewild should be a celebration of positive sexual energy. There are plenty of spaces to go just to avoid seeing peni. I support your desire to get the experience you are looking for, but i think segregation is the wrong way to go about it.
Another reason i dont support it is i think it adds an unnecessary amount of work for mods. I hope from the reddit fiasco that have learned we should try to make mods lives easier so more good mods want to do the work most people, myself included, are unwilling to put in for us all to have nice things.
Finally i think it sends a bad message. Theres nothing wrong with male sexual organs in the apprppriate context and if nothing else gonewild IS the appropriate context.
My 2cents anyway
I think promoting an OF or whatever is fine as long as it’s not in the post title or body (e.g. people should be able to link to it in their profile or in other communities that permit self-promotion)
There is already the /c/onlyfans_ads community. If they want to promote their off-site account it should be done there and not here. Maybe there needs to be a more general “promo” community that isn’t just OF?
Agreed, whilst I’m completely supportive of getting that bread whichever way works for you, Reddit’s NSFW communities were (in my opinion) destroyed by the influx of creators either blatantly or subtly pushing their product. If I feel like I’m being advertised to, it takes all of the fun out of it and makes it feel less like people misbehaving and more like someone’s trying to sell me something. A separate community for promotion in general is a great idea and allows us to keep the others on topic
Good point!
What [cd] tag means?
Oh!, and YES for tags!
Normally it stands for cross dresser, I believe.
I would prefer no self promotion in this community. As long as its a separate account i am fine with posters promoting elsewhere.
Theres my vote
