My buddy from work makes most of his living teaching crafts workshops around San Diego. My partner and I attended a class recently and I made these! I usually only wear one at a time but I still get a lot of people asking me where I got them, and it’s such a pleasure to say I made them myself :)

(By the way, if you are interested in one of Rob’s workshops his business is called Toshwerks, and they are usually free or have a very nominal signup fee. Check him out on facebook or instagram!)

Ah I love these, they’re so delicate and cute! Making jewellery has been on my list of “crafts to try” for ages, and we even have a load of resin stuff already because we’re into making dice, but I’ve just not got around to it yet.

Are these completely rounded or flat on the back? Trying to figure out what sort of mould I would need 😄

      thanks! 😄

so these are flat on the back, I might actually file or sand them down a bit on the edges tho. The molds we used are available as part of a $35 UV resin kit (which is what we used in class) and I think I remember seeing the molds sold separately as well.

That makes sense, open back moulds are a lot easier to get a good result with from my limited resin experience so far. I have tried UV resin but tbh it kind of went yellowish after a while and looked awful, hopefully that doesn’t happen with yours but more likely the stuff we bought was just really crappy!

I’ve not seen any communities pop up on Lemmy yet for resin crafts or jewellery making or anything to add to my master list but if you come across any, please let me know because I love looking at pretty stuff lol.
