Doesn’t this icon design get confusing?
Don’t get me wrong it looks cool; but it seems to me it would take a lot of effort each time to distinguish which app is which
It probably is at first, but all of it becomes muscle memory. I don’t have wacky icons for my phone, but if I switch my icons around I start opening up the wrong stuff out of habit. This is probably the same but opposite.
I filled the spot with a Lemmy client, already a few days before Reddit turned off the API. First Jerboa, which sucked, then Connect for Lemmy.
Since my muscle memory is “bored? Tap this spot on the screen!”, this worked really well.
Is there a chance that the author of rif will make a “rif for Lemmy”? That’d be awesome.
I’m currently using the wefwef web app. It’s ok so far, but nothing compares to rif.
On talklittle’s website, he says that he’s already active on Lemmy and Tildes, the latter of which he is working on an app for.
What icon pack are you using?
RedLine from the play store edit: wow this is not working well right now, I hope that’s because masses of RIF users are too much for the servers to handle.

How did you get all those fancy thematic icons?
it’s just an icon pack called redline, you can just apply it and it does have most of the icons already. and those that are not included get the red and white border and the old icon covered to gray inside
You should not use Opera !
sorry, just seen this right now, would you elaborate? I did switch to brave browser in the last days because Operas got annoying, tried Vivaldi, felt too bloated, but why exactly should I not use opera? would have been helpful to add just a little more information
