When western countries start using language in their laws and policies that reads like it comes straight out of Chinese law books, the world is going to shit. It’s unbelievable that this is coming so close to actually being enacted in a “democratic” nation.

I missed most of Yes, Minister, but this seems a fine mix of Monty Python’s Flying Circus with The Thick of It.
More people should watch Yes, (Prime) Minister or, better, read the Penguin adaptation into book form. (It’s not just the scripts; it’s a full-on adaptation that’s utterly brilliant!) They’re like instruction manuals for how to insulate the government from the people.
