Is it possible to make the column with posts wider (like on the screenshot), and get rid of the white space taking up most of the screen, without modifying the source code, or applying userscript?

This is how it looks for me too. What I would like, is for the content not to be centered in the middle when I maximize the browser window. I’ve used the “Inspect” feature of the Firefox browser to edit the code live (and take the screenshot), but the changes made there are just temporary and do not survive the page refresh.
TLDR; I want the old.reddit theme :)
Ah, yeah, I did like old.reddit - no doubt that’ll be next after the 3PAs die.
