They’re arguably worse for the environment than regular cigarette butts. Don’t get me wrong, those are horrible, but there’s nastier things in the batteries alone and in higher concentrations than you’d find in a cigarette butt.
If people are going to insist on smoking at all they should at least get refillable cartridges and reduce waste. But the better option would be to just not fucking smoke 🤷♂️It’s worse! There are guys on YT disassembling them and finding not single-use alkaline batteries inside but fully rechargeable Li-Ion batteries (for use in hobby projects). Forget the environment, how on earth is this economically justifiable for producers? People buying them pay not for nicotine but for all the electronics inside with a small addition of substance for their addiction.
With cannabis, the cartridges are disposable but the battery isn’t. I’d rather the cartridges be reusable, but it’s still a lot better than throwing away the battery.
You can get wax carts that are refillable, I’ve been using one for years. I’m pretty sure one came with my ooze battery
I don’t know of any nicotine vape with cartridges. It’s either full disposable or full battery+tank+coils
