I’ve been stuck on this week’s special for ages, don’t know how to proceed without seemingly guessing. Even if there is the odd square I’ve overlooked, I can’t imagine it’d set off a full on chain reaction.

Assuming that you’re correct so far, in your first column, you can deduce that the 9 and the 5 are separated by the bottom-most X you have in place. With the 9(and maybe the 1) somewhere in the middle section and the 5 somewhere in the bottom section

Do you know what’s really stupid? I already saw that the 9 had to go there, I just forgot to do the overlap trick (I’ve only really discovered nonograms this week). Cheers!

I’m trying it out now to match yours, and found a row you missed so far.

      1. The 8,2,8,5 row you can get another 4 confirmed squares (Second 8). Doing that will give you a starting point for the 2,1,10 and 1,9 columns, letting you X out a few squares below.

      2. The 4,3,4,2,2,7 column you can confirm one square on the second 4. That lets you get a few more tiles on the 4,4,4,1,1,1,3 row

Hopefully that helps you to continue.

Let me know if you need help or a reference pic. After a lot of work I finally cleared it. Still have no idea what picture it is though.
