Recent assaults on two notorious, high-profile federal prisoners have renewed concerns about whether the federal Bureau of Prisons is capable of keeping people in its custody safe.

Just because a journalist makes up an article so they get paid doesn’t mean it is a real problem. Just means the journo needs to eat and they cant write something that isnt going to make you go WTF

Just because some dingleberry suddenly only notices a problem that’s been going on for decades once it starts impacting high profile white people, that doesn’t mean it’s a new problem.

Right. I didn’t mean it isn’t an on going issue. But in this instance its not like Derek getting attacked is actually shining a light on this ongoing issue. But it makes for a headline

White cop (coughmurderercough) receives the natural consequences of the same dangerous conditions that all of the non violent offenders, brown/ black people, and unjustly convicted people have been suffering for A LOOOONG ASS TIME, and suddenly only now it’s a problem. Took a little red on that white and blue ass to enlighten some people that our criminal justice system might not be handled well. Welcome to the shitty party, the rest of America. Maybe next they’ll also figure out how our incarceration rates and the revolving door of for-profit prisons that also literally write some of our laws is actually a really big problem too. Too much to ask?

You don’t need to hide your accusations of “murderer” in a theatrically contrived cough. He’s literally in prison for being officially guilty of murder.

Yes, but it’s that kind of detail his lawyer and the blue lives matters folks would conveniently leave out in their “horror” over the situation. Many still consider him a martyr, not the murderer he is

“Who cares, they deserve it” has been the position for decades with people that are dehumanized i.e. poor people, black people etc.
