Between this and the $1.6 billion (and counting!) parking meter swindle, it boggles my mind that Chicagoans aren’t rioting in the streets.

Jacques lost 20 years. I don’t think massive payout is worth it. Don’t get me wrong. He can afford a house unlike a lot of people but that’s a lot of irreplaceable time gone.

Chicago has so much to offer, but its political machines and clout networks are firmly in control. Justice is only available to those that are part of the system. The players just want their fair share, that’s all.
