Agreed, there’s not a ton of polish to this Lemmy thing yet, but it won’t get better unless we use it.
sure, but, there’s using it, and there’s trying to force gifs onto a site which isn’t built to handle them yet. continuing to do so only creates more posts, but they don’t serve the purpose of improving or causing the site to add functionality, they’re simply dead content
Sounds like we may have to agree to disagree here. If no one posts gifs and no one asks for gif support then that added functionality will never come. I understand your point and agree with it to an extent, and hopefully these comments will soon be rendered moot as the platform progresses. Cheers!
