I’m using Connect on Android right now, it seems to be the cleanest one available?

As a Sync user, I absolutely cannot wait for the Sync for Lemmy client. I love the Material You UI!

    Hi :)

I’m one of the people working on Instance Assistant, a browser extension for Lemmy and Kbin. It lets you switch instances, improves on the ‘community not found page’, and has a few other tools that we are currently implementing.

    Here are some links:

We don’t have a clear description, but one that might work could be “Browser extension with tools for Lemmy/Kbin instances and communities”

I can’t seem to login on Infinity, it just presents a blank page. Shame because I like the concept

Login is a work in progress, but I’m not familiar with this blank page. Mind sending a screenshot?

That’s interesting. Any chance you have something blocking requests from going to everything.gripe or www.everything.gripe? On that note, can you check if either of those work in your browser?

Huh, well that would be it! I honestly forgot to check my DNS server Lol. It was blocked due to being a “Newly Registered Domain”.

After whitelisting, it seems to work fine. Cheers

what goes in the ‘client id’ field for logging in? Is that the site (e.g lemmy.world) password?

The Lemmy integration doesn’t yet have login capabilities.

Thanks for the heads up. It seems to still have an older “no longer maintained” message up. Do you know how it differs from Infinity for Everything?

Yeah, the readme has yet to be updated. It’s a fork of an entirely different Reddit app that has been updated for compatibility with Everything.

FYI the Everything apps now have an icon.

Are you on a Kiwi Browser nightly? If so, I had to switch back to the Play Store version because of this issue with a lot of sites. I don’t believe Lemmy-UI is currently a PWA so it should just be adding a regular shortcut (which worked for me just now from Kiwi).

I’m on the playstore version. I’ve been using Lemmy-UI as a PWA for a long time now on this version on the browser. Yesterday it started showing some problems. The upvote, downvote buttons and counts, reply button, the star fediverse button stopped showing up. So, I deleted the PWA and tried to reinstall it & I’m getting this error since. Unable to do it now.

There are also other bugs in the Pwa version of Lemmy. If I install the page as a web app, every time I close it I have to log in again. For example with mastodon it doesn’t happen

It happened with me on Kiwi Browser. Just swipe to refresh and it signs in. I think it’s a bug.

Now I’ve moved to Firefox and the installed the PWA there. It always sign me in when I open the PWA.

For Reddit I used Infinity, it has been forked Here as Infinity for Everything, with lemmy support. Still in Alpha, but could be promising
