DMC S471. It’s described as “satin” but it looked metallic to me. Either way, this stuff is awful. It frays like crazy leaving granny smith colored green fuzz everywhere. It’s slippery and tries to unravel even after you have it stitched into the pattern. It twists around on itself to the point that it acts like it has knots in it even when it doesn’t, and you have to redo the same stitches over and over again.

I got it because they were out of the color I needed at the craft store and this was a similar color. I thought the metallic look would add something extra to the finished pattern, but it just gave me a headache lol

It even keeps unravelling from the spool I stored it on 😭

Do not make the same mistake I did

That’s a bummer it’s such a pain to work with, the color is really fantastic.

I will admit that once I finally got it stitched into the pattern it actually looks pretty good lol

Right on. You should post it if you are finished! :)

I still have a bit more left to go, I’ll post an update tomorrow for the work in progress post though!

Is this one of the hanks that has the thicker plastic label? I don’t think I realized they had a different texture. Good to know it’s annoying. It’s a really nice color, looks shimmery.

Yes the label on this one is one long tube instead of two little ones. It does look nice in the pattern now, I just wish it wasn’t such a pain to deal with lol
