After resisting creating a subreddit for so long, I have created a subreddit equivalent of this community: r/aipartners, due to the sheer discussion of AI companionship on Reddit. Do note that the content of the subreddit is different from the Lemmy community, as the former doesn’t allow discussions that are software-specific when their respective subreddits already exist.
I look forward to further discuss the ethical implications of AI companionship and what we can do about it, whether it’s on Lemmy, Reddit, or elsewhere. Thank you for your attention.
Hate to break it to you, but if you’re on lemmy, it ain’t a subreddit. It isn’t even a subanything.
It’s a community or C/
It helps to know that there’s a big reason people are on lemmy instead of reddit, that reason being reddit being reddit.
Hate to break it to you, but your reply was nonsense, because they actually did create a new subreddit on reddit.
They even linked to it for you.
It helps to know that there are many people on lemmy who still use both, regardless of why others left reddit and choose to not go there anymore.
Fair enough! I misread.
