Yeah… I was tired.
Nothing gives me imposter syndrome worse than seeing code I wrote a few weeks ago only to git blame to find the idiot who wrote it…

Removing entire features that nobody knows we have and haven’t been supported for years
This is not humor, it’s a fact lol
Humour can’t be factual?
Removing or even refactoring old code can be very therapeutic.
Most of my recent work was updating and refactoring old code, this hits right home lol

Not so true if you still don’t know what you are doing, I felt power when I would rewrite a program completely after I learned how to code better and looking at how horrible of a job I did before… nvm, this post is totally correct!
When can I submit a change request to remove all the old soft code in production? I swear someone built this ship programming equivalent to rubber bands and thin strips of duct tape.
They say don’t disturb the beast… but it’s literally my job to do so. Help.
Humans just like feeling like they’re better than another human, deleting someone else’s code is loudly saying that you’re better than them in some metric. Nothing wrong with it, but that’s why writing code feels less powerful than yeeting other people’s shit.
So if I delete my own code, I feel better than myself!
I do it all the time, that’s awesome for my said esteem.
