Hard to tell here but I’m guessing that that’s it under the larger part of the wiring harness beneath the capton looking tape? (immediately beside the blue wire.)

That sounds like where they describe it to be in the article, it does sort of look like a woven canvas square. Not sure what material the wing would be, but it likely would at least look like that.

Yes it’s wrapped in Kapton tape. There’s a short video clip out there somewhere that shows a couple of JPL engineers fitting the swatch of muslin to the helicopter. If I find the video link I will share it with you.
