Amsterdam has cut the busiest “through road” in the city in half.
Meaning that if you want to get from the south to the north, you take the ring highway around the city center. I hope this experiment is successful and they can keep this traffic out of the city.Looks like a pleasant city to move around in. I hope my city (Turku, Finland) also takes these kinds of drastic measures. They have a few very narrow bicycle lanes on the roads running right next to the car traffic, but the center is otherwise cluttered with rough and narrow sidewalks.
I wish my city would do the same, but everything seems to be geared to cars despite having a good tram network
