I’m thinking about trying shrooms for the first time, I just want to know if it’s okay to try for the first time alone or not?

I wouldn’t, it’s always helpful to trip with a friend who’s done it before and ideally is sober too. A responsibilibuddy if you will. Helps you have a good time and to talk it through with someone.

Also, mushrooms can be strong, and take a while to kick in (1 hour usually for me), so pace yourself and start small. Don’t do the classic blunder of saying “this isn’t working, I better take more”.

    Happy tripping!

I agree, start small (0.75 - 1.25gm) even 0.5gm can be fun and not overwhelming, more like a subtle shift that is cool but not too demanding. If you are going over a gram have someone you are super comfortable with to help you deal with situations. Beaches and forrests are cool, stay away from drunk people.

      Have fun.

Especially for your first time, I would recommend you have someone with you. If you decide to do it alone, start with a very small dose to get familiar with the euphoria, and then maybe a few days later try a higher dose.

I’d recommend a trip sitter but if you absolutely can’t find one, start with a very low dose. Like 0.5-1g. It’s a more “dip your toes into the water” dose than a standard 3.5g one and will give you the feel of it without going off the deep end :)

I love and very much prefer tripping alone, but then again, my first time was about 35 years ago. I would not recommend you to be a alone for a first trip. Talk to someone who you trust, a friend who won’t make fun of you and who won’t try to prank you. I mention this since people often try their first dose at an age where that kind of thing sometimes happens.

Start with a low dose, less than 1 gram.

Try a tea maybe, the chitin of the mushroom walls is not really digestable and some people find it upsets their stomach (although the active ingredients do also play a role in that, so that can’t be fully avoided I suppose). Peppermint and ginger can help. If you later find it doesn’t bother you, feel free to eat the mushrooms whole, but why make things complicated the first time, right.

Overall, relax, let things come to you, and enjoy.
