Sometimes there’s a performer that just adds a little something to a standard move that takes it from a regular move to something that could be a finisher…

Like Athena, I’ve been catching up on Final Battle and God damn her shotgun drop kick looks like the most vicious and impactful run of the mill move out there right now. I don’t know if it’s just her frame and the way she looks when she bends her legs in or if she’s just had great camera angles but ever since she went with this aggressive heel angle it’s been one of the nastiest looking moves on TV.

Who has or had a move like that for you?

    Also gonna say

Kairi has the best elbow in the business and it’s all in how she flings her legs up, it’s a great visual.

Samoa Joe’s powerslam has a snap to it that defies his size and always catches me off guard.

Joe’s damn near everything is crisp to be fair lol.

I forget if it was NXT or when he first came to AEW or what, but I remember so many people online talking about how fat he was looking and how he was fucking done. Man is still killing people weekly and looking fantastic.

To be fair that was me when I first saw him in TNA, I remember the “Joe’s gonna kill you” chants and the bloody towel and thinking this guy looks like he’s one step up from a jobber. First muscle buster blew my mind.

That first MB we see blows all our minds. Such a good looking move.

I’ve only seen Kairi’s elbow a few times but holy hell is it a thing of beauty.

Okada, best dropkick in the business.

Miyu Yamashita, the spinning heal kick (the Black Mass), even Black himself basically said hers looks better.

Petey Williams, the Canadian Destroyer. I will give appropriate accolades to Dustin Rhodes however, in a world of “Will you fucking stop spamming Destroyers”, Duntin always makes it look real fucking smooth and I still never expect it. Unlike Britt and Cole who you see it being telegraphed before the fucking commercial break.

Adam needs to retire Panama Sunrise it’s way too telegraphed, and the delay from jump down to the flip just looks bad. If Cole could jump and grab the other wrestler and do it in one seamless motion it would look devastating but it comes off at a standing CD with unnecessary set up.

Also when he lowers his knee pad it looks like he has tiny baby legs…which I always find amusing

Sorry Adam I love you UE for life, I just feel like Panama Sunrise is holding you back.

Plus Dustin Rhodes rolling powerslam is so damn smooth. No one hits it better for me.

That he did, indeed. One of the few times you watch a move being performed and you just know it will hurt, and there is not much you can do to limit that rofl.

Arn Anderson and his spinebuster. It’s so good that people still copy exactly how he does it.

The first move that comes to mind is Andrade’s spinning elbow (not sure what to call it other than that). It’s like the Judas Effect but it looks way more devastating to me.

There’s a video on xTwitter that came out in the last day or so of Mick Foley hitting the Double Arm DDT at an indie event, it is still the best Double Arm DDT I have ever seen, Moxley does a pretty good one, but Mick Foley does it best.
