How many of you are Reddit transplants? Which WFPB subreddits were you a subscriber?

I’m a lurker from PlantBasedDiet. I enjoyed the recipes, pictures, stories and general chatter. It helped keep me on track on my own journey to plant eating. I’m not so interested in the moral or ethical discussions as I am about the health aspects, so I’m hoping I landed at the right place. I don’t plan to go back.

I was on PBD, and also veganfitness for a time.

You are in the right place and was exactly why this place was created. I was in alllllll of the plant based nutrition places on Reddit and don’t plan on going back either.

I don’t plan on engaging too much on “debates” but I did just share an article about children working in slaughterhouses.

I was not the mod at any of the places on Reddit but look forward to building a community and friendships here. We all could use some extra motivation or encouragement from time to time. The world is mostly against us and it’s nice to have support.

The health aspect is my main goal for following this type of eating. the weight loss, environmental benefits, and animal rights are important but not the intended focus of this community.

Please share any of your recipes and stories you found helpful during your time of lurking.

I’m glad to hear that this is the right place! I also appreciate you setting it up and taking the time to moderate.
