Tbf don’t think they are totally wrong about this one. China can and absolutely should do better especially with energy production but western companies who outsource their manufacturing there to cut costs and skirt regulations absolutely share the blame, and those are our responsibility to regulate.
Besides manufacturing there is also exports of garbage and old vehicles and similar things to developing countries to keep our numbers cleaner.
And China accepts this because it’s a poor nation.
It’s my understanding that they don’t anymore, I believe they are shipping it off to Africa now.
China doesn’t have the best workers’ rights record, no.
