Plenty of games are steeply discounted on Steam, GOG, Epic, itch.io, etc. right now, and I’m looking for some cozy games to get me through the winter in the Northern Hemisphere. What are your best recommendations? What’s keeping you cozy nowadays?
I think Valheim was on the sale, but it’s cheap if not. Sometimes I found myself happier to just to bathe in the warm glow of the fire in my base than to actually play the game and explore the world. Highly recommend.
valheim can be very cozy in between the stressy combat indeed
I just did a playthrough of Alba, which was delightful and super-chill. No combat, the most stressful part is trying to snap photos of some bird species for your collection. Short and sweet, I liked it.
I’ve also been enjoying Gourdlets, a charming little world-building sandbox game. It’s in demo stage right now but is already fun, on Steam or itch.io. https://aunty-games.itch.io/gourdlets
