Wasn’t this the original theory? Ash/dust cloud blocks out sun. This isn’t new. It’s just saying that theory again, but this time saying “it wasn’t that the ash made an ice age and froze everything, but blocked out the sun and prevented photosynthesis”. It’s splitting hairs and not adding any new evidence, just speculation.
