  • Reddit -> Lemmy (Voyager on iOS, dreaming of an eventual complete migration)

I too long for when communities (Indian and some niche ones) have more activity on Lemmy. They exist here, but have no activity after their creation. Until things pick up, I continue to access Reddit on iOS using SinkIt.

YouTube -> FreeTube (Unwatched on iOS)

Thank you for sharing about Unwatched. It fills the void in iOS that Tubular fills perfectly in Android.

    P.S.

I am not entirely sure why, but I remember seeing Unwatched’s creator @[email protected]/@[email protected] quite often back when Lemmy iOS apps were starting off (Mlem, Memmy, WefWef, etc.) in the fall of 2023, perhaps he was a major contributor or creator of such apps.

I guess this only applies to lonely Finns.

I have heard enough stories of Indians who get the cold shoulder and are treated unfriendly. It doesn’t matter if someone is fresh off the boat or has been there for over a decade, earned their citizenship, and truly assimilated. Finns just don’t seem interested in connecting with Indians.

I am not blaming the Finns, nor am I trying to criticise the idea of “perkele,” just offering some context.

  • As a character, The Bride definitely got more attention in this season

As for Circe, I agree the character was underutilised despite being in majority of the episodes. Episode 4 was her last appearance, IIRC.

Also, considering Eric’s whole arc this season, it was funny as it accomplished nothing. His reunion with The Bride was anticlimactic from Eric’s perspective. From The Bride’s perspective, it was as common as any reunion from their centuries old feud.

  • A double length episode would indeed be a pleasant surprise, but if that was the case, they would have made it an eight episode season instead.

Surprisingly, I found that this episode juggled the main story and character flashbacks much better, while still moving the main story forward within the same 20 odd minutes as the other episodes’ runtime. It becomes more contrasting in comparison with the previous episode.

  • This might be the weakest episode for me.

The story does not move forward, aside from shedding some light on Eric’s backstory.

Also, why did Eric kill the gypsy woman? Is this his way of ensuring she is never alone? Or is it some twisted sense of justice for the care she provided? Right now, it feels hollow and like it happened "just because”.
