I have seen mice eat each other alive. I’m 100% sure they would build a mousetrap

It may have been in a different video where he showed it working on his licensed VHF frequency. He has a business license for a frequency in the 70cm band so he can do encrypted radio traffic on it. He just talked about using HF with dummy loads to test if it worked.
I think the vhf and hf ISM bands are limited to “mobile radio” and I’m not sure what that means but it likely prevents using encrypted data.
He has used it over HF but I don’t think he did it in a band he is supposed to be using for this kind of thing. He did say the test was made using dummy loads over short range to stay legal. If I remember correctly, those HF bands have additional restrictions that prevent use for mesh networking
I feel no guilt for ordering tool bootlegs for formats they never released on.
I’m a fan of their spaceships being the equivalent of flying boobs and support humans following their example.

Technology•The Death of the Status Update: Why 55% of Americans Stopped Posting on Social MediaEnglish
611·28 days agoWhen social media started it focuses on friends. You add someone as a friend and you could see what they were up to.
Then Facebook came along and made it competitive, it became less about seeing what friends were doing and more about posting things that people liked.
As Facebook grew, it changed. One day you didn’t see the stuff your friends posted unless you constantly interacted with their posts or a lot of other people did.
It’s gotten worse and worse since then. They have added more and more ads and posts from people and pages you might know that you no longer see stuff from people you do know.
It’s absolutely worthless.

Technology•Execs Confused and Horrified by the Huge AI Bills After Thinking They Could Replace Workers for FreeEnglish
48·1 month agoHere is how it has gone down for a few companies I have visibillity on:
- Investors with enough stock to have influence demand the company use AI and cut staff
- remaining ataff struggles to fit AI into their now bloated workload
- quality slips and stumbles. a few employees are able to make the transition and cause huge AI bills while attempting to cover the workload
- everyone gets upset and nothing gets done well
It looks like investors who have also invested in AI are trying to push its use and it is stumbling all over the place. If a company cant adapt it is basically stripped for parts and sold off to companies that are handling it better.

4·1 month agoGranted, emotions have been removed due to the likelihood of emotional suffering. All fatal diseases and injuries are now immediately fatal regardless of initial onset duration.
It really depends on how you find out.

Yeah, I don’t love every song but I’m perfectly happy to let their albums play through without feeling like skipping anything.
They keep putting out bangers, I love this album

90s Music•Two - I Am a Pig (1997) [Industrial Metal] ((Rob Halford and John Lowery aka John 5 side project))
2·2 months agoThis answers a question I didn’t know I was asking. As soon as I heard the guitar I knew I had heard the song before, by the middle I knew exactly where, it was on the Idle Hands soundtrack. I’ve watched that movie a dozen times and while the song stood out each time I never remembered to look it up.
Very nice! I love finding fwnton hand painted stuff.

Pulse of Truth@infosec.pub•Someone Built an App to Fight Surveillance Pricing With a Flipper Zero… for Research PurposesEnglish
53·3 months agoIt causes a problem for stores that use technology to squeeze more out of customers. It remains that these tags are closely tied to predatory pricing practices and it causes more than just a headache for the cashier, it causes a trust issue between customers and predatory businesses. The goal is to make these predatory practices damaging to the business. the cashier will be fine, they already deal with people being complete garbage for less, at least this gives them an excuse to bring in the manager and send the problem uphill.

8·3 months agoIt is but I can imagine the stink that will be raised when stuff rings up differently than it is priced, especially if it’s mildly expensive stuff that turns out to be 50-100$ more at checkout than on the shelf.
