Not exactly EB Games, but 12 years ago (haha) I bought an NHL game from GameStop brand new. They grabbed a disc from one of those paper sleeves from behind the counter. I was completely annoyed that they had thought that was brand new. Went through the purchase anyway though.
Got home and went to play it, it was a year older copy of the NHL game I wanted. I Immediately drove back. They tried to argue that wasnt possible because I bought the game “brand new”.
I got the to finally refund the product and never purchased anything from GameStop again. Is EB Games testing the game? Is that something that is advertised that they do? I expect not one brand new copy of a switch game is tested in that way.
