Let’s be honest here … because it looks like the dev is trying to be. The name has “Slots” in it so they seem to be pretty up front about the mechanics involved.

Did you mean 1920’s? Because it is currently the 2020’s. Still not sure if the roaring is going to happen this century to differentiate.
I would give my best Matt Damon in Interstellar “… that’s the best chance I have had in years.” And then smash my face jnto the button as hard as I could.

I think he could do it.

I am big fan of the OG X-Files but the seasons filmed later not so much. I read Coogler was involved in the reboot and that guy seems pretty good, so I had higher hopes. What have you heard that makes you think it will be shitty?

I think the state regulations exist to assure a minimum safe level quality of care, so we are saying the same thing.

I really didn’t see this as a personal attack. I was criticizing the action (or in this case the inaction). I wasn’t trying to be personally insulting. I even admitted to being lazy myself. Not sure how much more I could soften the blow.
Oh well.

I think it might be mine too. Calling out Coogler for remakes without considering this film seems like a troll or willful ignorance.

Asking “Who?” while using a device connected to the sum of all information publicly available is lazy. I’m not mad at you for being lazy but you seem so committed to being lazy that I can only think it is intentional and therefore worth calling you out. I’m lazy too, most of the time. Game recognize game.
If you had searched Ryan Coogler, you’d have found out his most recent film was an original film (not a remake) that he wrote, directed, and produced. It had very good reviews and outperformed box office expectations. Did you see it? If not, I recommend it. It is called Sinners.
Danielle Deadwyler waa someone I had to look up, but I recognized her. Her last film was The Woman in the Yard, which was ambitious but not really my thing. I guess it was that way for a bunch of viewers. That said, her screen presence was better than most. I would like to see what she can do paired with a talent like Coogler, in X-Files or any other project.

I’m going to need you to explain how they trained horses to hold their breath when exposed to gas.

Makes sense. They are selling you the option to one of the available childcare slots, which is a fixed number. They can’t sell more slots than they can accommodate, on the off chance every slot is used on a given day. To do so would drop the quality of care.
It’s not like they are airlines and can just bump you to the next available.

I think I recall a few films that did this. I want to say City of Lost Children and/or Dark City had green sky effects.
I love that in an Onion article about a 40 ft possum your focus is on protecting the marsupials from libel. That said, I came to the comments to refute the same sentence.

Honeymooners?

Hold on to your butts.

30ish. Working for a company that wouldn’t let me move to their QA department because they “needed me more where I was” even though the manager of QA wanted me. The QA department didn’t have anyone that knew how my department worked so they had never done any QA checks on us. Would have been a pay bump and no after hours support rotation. I got another job and they asked what they could do to avoid my leaving, and I said if they had done it then I wouldn’t be leaving.

Charlottesville Virginia has a road spelled Rio but locals pronounce it with a long I (rhy-oh). Bonus points, the name originated from the road being route 10, marked with signs that said R10, which eventually became Rio.
Oops, meant to reply to Brobot or whatever. Leaving it.
