I was setting up mint for my mom the other day, and put kernel 7 on it, i thing it has been enabled recently as an option.

damn really? I’d never would have guessed that

yea I don’t wanna change just to be hip, I literally don’t know the differences between distros, I’m just wondering if I’m missing out on something, not in like the way gui and animations works, but the other stuff
damn called out for being single on my first post huh? hshshs, I’ll try this tho and see if it improves

Oh I know godot, I met the guy who made it… on grindr of all places haha
thanks a ton, the idea here is that if you do a few of these to activate the glutes then when you do other exercises like squats you’ll be able to target them better?

I appreciate the tip, I might end up on python, seems interesting and fast (to write not run lol)

thing is i use the pc at night in a small house and something clicky would be annoying, the quieter i can get the more respectful yk

seems python is super popular too, can you build nice UI’s with it? I mostly see python on AI stuff and cli
That would be insanely nice of you to do for a total stranger haha, id for sure appreciate it but don’t feel at all obligated to

While it might not be the hardest part, I do feel it is a factor, so all things being equal i think it can help to choose a good first programming language that will help out the on-boarding process.
mhmm that’s what i tried and felt it on my lower back while a more vertical squat i feel more on the legs

I don’t really like mobile, even less with all the constant changes towards (more) mobile surveillance, i just included it as another versatility thing (in case i ever need to build mobile) but python can be used to build things with UI? like with a good way to write UI for your programs? I see python mostly on cli

gatekeeping the queer community off of tech, i see how it is… only cis people allowed to code /s

what would you personally consider a better language? like which ones would you recommend for someone starting out?
I’ll second this, after distro hopping a bit at the beginning I ended up choosing Mint, it works and with i3 its like 500mb of idle ram, so far I haven’t found any reason to switch to a less user friendly distro, I don’t know what the advantages would be in using a more complicated/prone to breaking distro instead of mint. I’m open to switching though if I find something I like more, but Mint is amazing as a gateway drug distro, made coming over to linux SO much better, now I’m slowly infecting my family computers with mint aswell, gotta spread the virus

auch, sound is kind of a dealbreaker sadly

mhmm! that’s the basic rationale i had when trying to learn one general language at the beginning, It won’t be optimal but who cares? I’d rather be able to build more mediocre things broadly than only knowing one thing. Kinda how you start out with Ryu or Ken on street fighter games even if they are in the middle of the tierlist just because they have a bit of everything on their kit

As a newbie the quick visual feedback of building stuff on web is nice to have, but maybe I should do python instead with some kind of ui thing? I do want to end up working in tech I’d say asap but its not the “starving and i mean money right now” asap, but like, not wasting unnecessary time.
I don’t have a bar, im using a 6lt water water jug that i hug around my chest, prob gonna upgrade a bit filling it up with sand when i get better
