    I personally have enough boxes that I have one or two in each room for my cats and still have a box like that for recycling some weeks.

    Probably best not to judge people off a single photo and a potentially fake caption, y’know?

    It takes a lot to realize that and exercise that restraint. You’re a good egg. With that being said, a paintball gun would have a low chance of self-harm, but they make coyote urine balls that smell terrible on impact. Just saying.

    I deleted my LinkedIn almost a decade ago and am doing just fine. Really don’t think it matters as much as people think.







  • First thing, admitting that you have a problem is the hardest step to take, so you’re already doing better than when I was in college suffering from burnout. 15 years later and I’m finally wrapping up my degree.

    I’d figure out the sleep problems first medically if it were me. That one’s going to fuck you over even after college. Talk to a doctor and make sure everything’s good there. If that’s an isolated issue, then you need to tackle the self-discipline issue. I’d see how you feel after the sleep issue is fixed as to whether you need more medical help or not. Everything else could be exacerbated by the lack of a consistent sleep schedule.

    You’ll want to be open with your parents and in the meantime ask for their assistance keeping you straight. Turns out, you can’t independently manage your life right now, so apologize to them and ask for them to help you get out of bed and going in the morning while you get yourself back on track.

    I’m only in my mid 30s, but for me, I’ve never once had peace find me unless I’m neglecting something, but I’ve found it plenty of times in different ways. Mostly through various creative hobbies, but for me I’m at peace when I’m creating something. If there’s anything that gave you a spark of “huh, interesting” give it a try. Could be a creative hobby, could just be reading or watching cheesy b-movies. The point is to give you something to do to trigger the good brain chemicals.

    I’d highly recommend a therapist if you aren’t seeing one already. As regularly as you can, since they can help you offload and work through your feelings and thoughts to keep you pointed at the path. Find a practice that isn’t licensed to prescribe medication if you’re worried about getting put on another med, and don’t be afraid to shop around. Like a partner, it can take a few tries to find the right therapist.

    I agree with you. A majority of the mass shootings (all shootings, really) would disappear overnight if we increased financial security and had free healthcare. Couple it with a cultural push for mental health awareness and care and you wouldn’t need too many gun laws on the books.
