  • When I went to Puerto Rico (same country, poorer area) my wife and I went on a guided paddle boarding ride that included him teaching us how to paddle board, then paper boarding, we met a couple wild manatees who came right up to us, then we went snorkeling. I believe he did groups of up to 6, but there were 2 no shows and 2 empty spots so it was just my wife and I for a 2 - 3 hour trip and was an absolute blast. I don’t remember how much it cost, probably $60 - $100 each range. At the end we tipped him like $40 and it looked like he was going to cry. I honestly thought tipping that much on a guided tour like that was upper end of normal, but his reaction made me think he doesn’t usually get tips like that.

  • Interesting to see what happens next for Kirk. He’s never taken below market deals before and he wasn’t thrilled about moving but ended up choosing Atlanta because they have family there. Part of me thinks he might want to just hang up the cleats.

On the other hand I think he still believes in himself and might want to prove to others that he can still play. I could see it going either way

  • Yeah, but it’s the cyclist that annoys me (more than cars. Cars do annoy me as well). At least the ones wearing a helmet and riding a street bike.

If they’re wearing a hoodie and a backpack I usually sympathize with them. They probably got jammed up and this is their only way to get to work, groceries, drugs, see someone, or whatever else they might need to go out for

  • Which is fair, just sucks for that guy getting his season tickets revoked. I get why he got kicked out of the game, but losing the season tickets is harsher than I would’ve expected.

Ultimately I get it too, but it feels like Lafleur should’ve kept his chill too. I bet this guy will find some Lions fans to hook him up with tickets at least through the end of the season
